GET AWAY FROM IT ALL: A MALAY VILLAGE IN THE HEART OF PERAK

This tour is a chance for travelers to enjoy the beauty of country living in an authentic Malay village. Trek though nature, share in the fun of every day village life, discover living heritage including local trades, arts and crafts and even cook an authentic Malay meal with locals. The tour and activities can be tailored to fit the guests need and interests.

Activities to be determined with the guest include a trek through a river bed to a bat cave and an introduction to the flora and fauna of the region a cycling tour of the village; meeting artisans and learning about cottage industries including weaving and local agriculture (rubber, fruit, betel nuts and more, depending on the season); cooking a meal in an outdoor kitchen using local ingredients, including those gathered by guests.

Price includes 6% GST, return bus transportation from KL or Penang/Butterworth to Kamunting in the northern state of Perak, transfers from the bus station to the village, two nights accommodations, two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners, all activities and the presence of a guide during your stay in Perak.
