Learn the Secrets of Cosmopolitan Georgetown

This UNESCO World Heritage site is a hugely popular destination, but visitors often overlook the city's complex, cosmopolitan heritage. On this walking tour, you'll see the various places of worship and learn about how the different communities practice their beliefs. In Little India and along the clan jetties, you'll experience vibrant daily activities of the long-established Indian and Chinese communities in Georgetown. You'll also learn about the role of the kongsi or clan house, an important feature for Chinese immigrants far from home. The picturesque alleys of the protected heritage zone are also the site of first British settlement in the region. We'll sample some of Penang's famous street food, ranked among the world's very finest. Discover the secrets of Georgetown and fall in love with everything the city has to offer.
